We Have a Go-Fund Me page!

The festival committee now has a Go Fund Me account! We need your help! With the all free year we are doing we need more than ever! The attractions alone are $10,000, plus another $10,000 just for fireworks and another $10,000 for the entertainers and publicity! Not counting supplies, insurances, rental of the park, etc. So roughly $40,000 is our budget! Please join with us in providing this outstanding ALL FREE year! Our vice president, Adam Mayberry set this up for us! We need everyone’s help to make this year free for  you all! Please!  Click on the link below: https://gofund.me/896a1cba

New This Year: A Cruise-In!

Classic car owners are invited to the big parade which takes place on Saturday,  June 24th at 10 am.  Be there at 9 for lineup and by 8:30 if you would like to be judged.  Then  drive in the parade until you enter to the park and you will park on the grassy outfield area as in the former Car Shows.  Someone will direct you!  A Best of Show Trophy will be presented to one car owner. Stay for the day and enjoy the fun, food, music and fireworks! FUN FOR ALL!

MORE FUN TO HAVE AT THE USA DAYS

State of Ohio Sanctioned Kids’ Tractor Pull!

Back this year to the Heart of Ohio USA Days Festival on June 24th will be the the State Sanctioned Pedal Tractor Pull for kids ages four through 11. Registration begins at noon and pulling competition begins at 1 pm. Ribbons will be given to all participants and trophies to the top three places in each age group.  All children pull for free.  The top three will then be able to participate in the State of Ohio Pedal Full finals at the Hartford Fair in Croton in August. The top winners there would go to the National Pulls at the Corn Palace in South Dakota this September. Our first year we had a four year old who went to the Nationals!  Last year we grew with many more pullers so we hope to see this event grow every year!

Adults 12 and above may also pull once the children are finished but this is at a $5 fee each with “bragging rights” as the prize!

This great event is special due to it being sanctioned by the State of Ohio which does ensure the winners get to pull in the state and possibly national finals!   Open to both boys and girls, get there early to watch the fun and cheer for your favorite!  Good luck kids!

Attractions!  These are FREE all day, every day for everyone!

New this year our fun attractions will be from Awesome Entertainment. They will supply eight different attractions with bounce houses and playyards for the smaller kids  and things like a velcro wall, basketball, Star Wars Obstacle Course for teens up to adults!  This is our gift to the community for its continued support in keeping the festival alive! There are also  many fun things to see and do!   We are excited to welcome this great group who strive to give us a fun experience but also a safe one! However, we ask your help by volunteering to do a two hour shift at one of the attractions so we need 8 people every two hours. There will be one employee to relieve you for bathroom breaks!  Please contact Candy to volunteer at 740 501 6144.

Main Street Decorating Contest!

Remember our Main Street Decorating Contest! Again this year all residents and businesses on Main Street are invited to decorate patriotically so visitors to our USA Days Festival will drive through our wonderful village and be treated to lovely decorations! We will hand deliver the flyers with all the info but basically you just need to decorate (we will find you!) and our judges will pick the $100 winner in both home and business! Judging will take place on Wednesday, June 21st and the sign will be put into place on each winner. Let’s make Main Street festive!

Diaper Derby is Back!

Back this year is the Baby Crawl for Crawlers up to age two and foot race for 2 and 3 year olds! There will be trophies and cash prizes for the winners. This is a treat to watch.  It will take place on Thursday, June 22nd at 7 p.m. Bring your babies and toddlers and let the races begin!

Little Miss Liberty/Little Uncle Sammy Pageant!

We still have the Annual Little Miss Liberty/Little Uncle Sammy pageant! It is for boys and girls ages 4, 5 and 6. In April forms will be going home with preschool, kindergarten and first grades in Centerburg Schools. Forms will also be available at the local post office, library and Hometown Market. Kids get money from grandparents, mom and dad, family, parents’ co-workers, neighbors, friends, etc. The boy and girl with the most money claim the titles, will be crowned and then ride in the parade on Saturday, June 24th. They will also ride in the Farm Festival parade. All entries get gift packages, the only difference is the tiara for winning girl and Uncle Sam hat for winning boy! Some people put out cans for donations. We do not advise this, it does not work well or generate anything substantial, plus many have been stolen or emptied. The pageant will be held at 7:30 pm at the park on Thursday, June 22nd. Last year’s winners crown the new ones. The parade is 10 am on Saturday, June 24th, at the Church of Christ. This is fun and the kids always look adorable in their red, white and blue/patriotic outfits! Questions, message us or call Candy at 740-501-6144! All money raised helps keep the festival coming, this year all new rides and the best fireworks in the area!
